My Big Idea is about my personal and imaginative relationships with my friends. The idea changed from all over, at first i wanted to do something about "home" then it changed to wanting to do something involving dubstep, then i settled on relationships.
Julian Smith is a youtube director who makes short funny films not really a "Big Idea" though. I heard about them from friends who got me hooked on him. He influenced me by no big idea style. I dont like having an idea hold me down from expanding my idea range.
I think the process of making art is what determines how the final product will be. So if you don't create the art in the right way its just not going to look good or professional.
What i learned the most is that videos are a long process that requires time and commitment. Thats why i believe that if you are going to try and make a project around a big idea then you should have something you are passionate about so you dont lose focus or desire.
I didnt have a problems really except for the crappy special effects. I plan on trying to challenge myself by using more special effects when necessary.
i think i should be assigned a B because i did finish 2 videos within the deadline

1.What was your initial reaction to the Big Idea Project?
I thought the time he gave us would be enough to get a couple videos done

2.What was the biggest challenge you experienced doing the projects?
Like always time, I dont always have the schedule to shoot my videos but this time i only needed one clip to finish my video which im looking to shoot asap (tonight)

3.How much did the Idea Blog and the first writing assignments help you to create works of art?
I think its a good way to receive criticism and ideas for the project and it provides you a space to just let your ideas flow.

4.How often did you find yourself coming back to the Idea Blog for inspiration or reminders?
I only really came back to keep changing and morphing what i wanted my big idea to be.

5.What part of the project was the most meaningful and important to you personally?
i think the exploring what you wanted your big idea to be was the most personal because its something you want to be meaningful while still being something people want to watch not just you.

6.How did you structure your time to meet deadlines?
I didnt really realize how much time was spent until the end and ill admit i was very ill prepared for the deadline being almost 2 videos down.

7.What would you change about your own time management if given a second chance?
I would of called off work if i could of but do to current home situation I needed as much money as possible. I also would have liked to be able to film more inside of school but my last video didnt require that.

8.Do you think I had appropriate expectations of what you could do in the given time? Why or why not?
I think 3 videos is possible but is hard. i think 2 videos would be more appropriate do to all the things that go into planing a video. i dont have ideas always spewing out so its a hard and long thinking process for me.

9.How could I have helped you achieve more?
I didnt require your help so nothing.

10. What is your current opinion of the Big Idea Project?
I like it and wouldnt mind having another opportunity to create 2 more videos with the same sort of guidelines just not as many videos.
